I told the Principal, “No text book, no flash card, a little homework is fine, I could deliver the result in 3 months time.” But I soon realized that I only had 40 days left before the scheduled exam date. Oh S**T!…

After 2 nights of doing my ‘homework’ with the entire past exam papers, I was so happy that I finally found the answer. The next day, I walked into my classroom and told my students, “We gonna have fun, so leave you text book at home from today onwards!” I was determined to keep all these conventional materials away…

All I want him to do is sketch, and sketch and sketch

I believe that there is genius in every child and it is our responsibility to discover and awaken it.
When I was in my sophomore year of high school, I was introduced by my cousin sister to a parent who seeks for a private tuition teacher. I accepted this part time assignment after I had a small chat with the young boy (primary student) who had never passed a single school exam.
I didn’t practice the conventional way but I wanted him to sketch himself on a sketches book each time before we started our tuition session.
I developed my tuition programme based on his hand drawn sketches. As time goes by, I realized how he viewed himself in a positive light from his sketch and I remember how excited he was when we had tuition class.
After 4 months of tuition, he passed his entire exams, and one year later, I told his mum that he doesn’t need home tuition anymore.
He was my very first and the most talented student I ever taught.

Thank you, for the best X’mas present this year!

Thanks to Guerlain, L’Occitane, Biotherm, Neutrogena & Etude House for all the gifts sponsored!
My dad once told me, “You can get anything you can dream of with the strength of your will and your creativity.”
Dad always supported and encouraged us to pursue our creative intuitions, to dare to challenge the norm. And then I have the courage to follow my intuition and to share my wild ideas in all sort of forms including involving in brainstorming forums.
There is no special trick to it. I learnt to observe my surroundings (don’t judge but just observe), noting both mundane and unusual things, people and actions; and I tried to see things in a different way, from as many points of view as possible. Be open minded and be inspired by your surroundings,  engage in new activities, and commit yourself to learn something new, that’s how I started to have new and more resourceful thoughts.
I don’t really care about the rewards (although I’m always happy to be rewarded :P) but what really excited me the most was the opportunity to spend time with talented and inspiring people around the world, and share a common mission, to make our lives simpler, easier and more effective.
And not to forget, thank you daddy. Merry Chistmas! ♥

I won the AXN Challenge with Indie Rock version!

Last Saturday, I took up the challenge and performed my indie rock version of Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story’ song (I had to make this choice from the limited songs I knew) in AstroLife Fun Night Carnival 2011 @ Sunway Lagoon. I hit the high score and won these AXN souvenirs. Oh, I love the cap!  :)
8000 amusement park play-all-you-can admission tickets were giveaway for selected Astro subscribers and their immediate family members, and we were one of the lucky subscribers to have fun all night long in the carnival.

The Fast & The Furious

The other night I went to hang out with my buddy for ‘breakfast’ (I like to call DimSum as breakfast instead) with his newly purchased car. It’s the best ride ever!
I then asked my 6 yrs old son, “What will you do if you get rich someday? Buy exotic cars or big house” (He definitely likes Ferrari)
He replied, “I’d get a normal car, but I’d like to own Pixar and shopping malls, then I’d like to rent out those shops. (That’s my boy *high 5)
“Oh darling, that’s a brilliant idea and I’d like to get a cheaper shop rental rate then”

“No mommy, 1
Malaysia, so no discount for you”

Oh yeah, here comes my new baby! :)
Thought of getting Denon initially but once I found Onkyo 7.2-channel TX-NR609 and after I tested the sound quality inside the demo room, I just love it.
Beside than its advanced features and offering full network capability, it’s also the first receiver to feature Marvell Qdeo upconversion video processing technology (same as the Philips Qdeo Image Processor Blu-ray disc player), which can upscale any video source all the way up to a 4k resolutions - something that no current home displays can do. This may not have any practical use right now, but it could be handy when sets such as Toshiba’s glasses-free TV hit the shops within the next 12 months.
Compared to other AV receivers like Marantz and Denon, I’d have to say this is tremendous value for the price!

Advantages of being Single;

  1. Can sleep well.
  2. Can save Time and money.
  3. No worries about how you look.
  4. No missed calls at midnight.
  5. Focus on your career and family more.
  6. No need to recharge your phone twice a day
  7. Can talk to all Boys and Girls.
  8. Take your own decisions by yourself
  9. Can study abroad and not worry about what you are leaving behind.
  10. No worries about if there is a future or not.
  11. Can flirt with whoever you want.
  12. Live stress free.

Seriously, being married has much more benefits than being single. The main advantages of being married are emotional stability, family and finances. The home and family gives comfort zone and energy to restore. Also, love is one of strong advantages from being marriage. For instance, people who are single have chance to have lovers, however their love is not endurable for life time. On the other hand, being married, love is committed. :D A.Aviiki

THANK YOU!

I enjoy dealing with people. I’ll never forget my dad’s wisdom he taught mea valuable lesson on the art of sincerity and in trusting people. As I look back on my career and experiences dealing with the public, I’m humbled by the goodness of so many who gave of their hearts, and those who spent their times and shared their lives and dreams with me.
I am filled with emotion this day as I reflect on your unconditional love. I am thankful for your belief in me, and your faith in what I stood for, and more importantly for all of your support and sponsor all these years.Thank you, Vichy, Uriage, L’Oreal and Lancôme.  You have touched my heart and allowed me to explore an awesome natural beauty journey together with you. Know that I am eternally grateful.

I felt high and the ATV ride was really fun!
We had our adventure fun ride started with an off-road trail through the jungle, and ended with a cool short break at the hidden waterfall.
The most exhilarating part is the adventurous up hill trail where I learnt the technique for riding ATV up to the hill peak and get to experience the spirit of High Lander.
What an unforgettable memories!
P/S: How I wish the trails are muddy and slick. Oh, I hope to get dirty actually. xP
Go for it!
