Merry X’mas! :)

You guys, Swap is the business.
You list the things (books, movies, games) that you have that you want to get rid of, then you list the things that you want and it finds matches. It even prints out the shipping label for a couple of bucks. Everyone ends up trading things they don’t want for things they do.
So far I’ve traded “Sea, Sand and Stars” for “The Road” and “Red Dead Redemption” for “Uncharted 2”. I’m sold.
Also, fellow Tumblr and Justin Timberlake cover band member Ryan Kelley works for them, which is just a cool bonus.

The Psychology of Oreo’s
Psychologists have discovered that the manner in which people eat Oreo cookies provides great insight into their personalities. Choose which method best describes your favorite method of eating Oreo’s:1. The whole thing all at once.
2. One bite at a time
3. Slow and methodical nibbles examining the results of each bite afterwards.
4. In little feverish nibbles.
5. Dunked in some liquid (milk, coffee…).
6. Twisted apart, eat the inside, then the cookie.
7. Twisted apart, eat the inside, and toss the cookie.
8. Just the cookie, not the inside.
9. I just like to lick them, not eat them.
10. I don’t have a favorite way because I don’t like Oreo.
Your Personality:1. The whole thing
This means you consume life with abandon, you are fun to be with, exciting, carefree with some hint of recklessness. You are totally irresponsible. No one should trust you with their children.
2. One bite at a time
You are lucky to be one of the 5.4 billion other people who eat their
Oreo’s this very same way. Just like them, you lack imagination, but
that’s OK, not to worry, you’re normal.
3. Slow and Methodical
You follow the rules. You’re very tidy and orderly. You’re very meticulous in every detail with every thing you do to the point of being anal retentive and irritating to others. Stay out of the fast lane if you’re only going to go the speed limit.
4. Feverish Nibbles
Your boss likes you because you get your work done quickly. You always have a million things to do and never enough time to do them. Mental break downs and suicides run in your family. Valium and Ritalin would do you good.
5. Dunked
Every one likes you because you are always up beat. You like to sugar coat unpleasant experiences and rationalize bad situations into good ones.
You are in total denial about the shambles you call a life. You have a propensity towards narcotic addiction.
6. Twisted apart, the inside, and then the cookie
You have a highly curious nature. You take pleasure in breaking things apart to find out how they work, though not always able to put them back together, so you destroy all the evidence of your activities. You deny your involvement when things go wrong. You are a compulsive liar and exhibit deviant, if not criminal, behavior.
7. Twisted apart, the inside, and then toss the cookie
You are good at business and take risk that pay off. You take what you want and throw the rest away. You are greedy, selfish, mean, and lack feelings for others. You should be ashamed of yourself. But that’s OK, you don’t care, you got yours.
8. Just the cookie, not the inside
You enjoy pain.
9. I just like to lick them, not eat them
Stay away from small furry animals and seek professional medical help
immediately.
10. I don’t have a favorite way, I don’t like Oreo cookies
You probably come from a rich family, and like to wear nice things, and go to upscale restaurants. You are particular and fussy about the things you buy, own, and wear. Things have to be just right. You like to be pampered.
You are a prima donna. There’s just no pleasing you.(I’m 10, but I’m not a prima donna. I just don’t like them, its too sweet :D)

So… Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is making a big announcement, apparently via YouTube, in six days.
Any guesses as to what it’ll be? An eighth HP book? A seventeenth movie? Proof of string theory? WHAT WILL IT BE???

Facebook Statistics, Stats and Facts for 2011 are starting to roll out, and here is the first info-graphic to wrap them all up thanks to Online Schools.
This week we launched the 6th iteration of the Tumblr Dashboard. And as you can probably tell, it makes room for a whole bunch of new things we’re getting ready to launch.
The first are some major upgrades to Messages (currently Questions and Submissions) that are available today:
Unified Inbox. The new Inbox saves you the trouble of checking for new Messages across all of your blogs. Additionally, the Inbox icon will show an unread count for any Messages that any of your blogs receive! You can disable the Inbox on your Preferences page.
Delete All Messages. Once you’ve answered or approved all of the posts you care about, you can now delete the rest with just two clicks.
Private Answers. When someone asks a Question that you’d like to respond to but you’d rather it not appear on your blog, you can now deliver a private answer directly to the sender.
Note: These features won’t appear unless you have Questions or Submissions enabled on at least one of your blogs.
PRIVATE MESSAGES AWW HELL YEAH

Things we’ve lost:
- Messages
- Followers
- Unless this is like that secret special sauce twist at the end of every M. Night Shyamalan movie that makes us go “Oh, you mean Bruce Willis was DEAD the whole time, that was fucking AWESOME!!!”
- Well, maybe one M. Night Shyamalan movie.
Why can’t u just settle down tumblr?? Doh…
Colour-blinding wheel wins illusion contest 2011
Motion can affect how we perceive changes in colour, as demonstrated in an illusion created by Jordan Suchow and George Alvarez at Harvard University that won first place last 2 week at this year’s Best Illusion of the Year Contest in Naples, Florida.
While watching the animation above, fix your eyes on the white dot in the center. When the surrounding ring is stationary, you’ll notice the dots inside changing colour. But as the wheel rotates, the flashing circles should appear to switch colour less often or not at all. In reality, the colours are changing at the same rate throughout the animation.
Suchow and Alvarez think that the phenomenon, called change blindness, occurs because specific brain areas monitors different locations in our visual field. When an object is moving fast, local detectors don’t have much time to register a colour change so they can remain undetected. The trick isn’t just for colour either, another version of the illusion, shows how motion can mask variations in shape and shade too.
Scott Adams (Dilbert), deleted post
Scott Adams wrote this post today, March 7 2011, on his blog and then deleted it.
The topic my readers most want me to address is something called men’s rights. (See previous post.) This is a surprisingly good topic. It’s dangerous. It’s relevant. It isn’t…
